Bylaws & Policies

The District enforces bylaws on a complaint system. Complaints must be submitted in writing on the appropriate form either in person, through mail, or electronically to be considered valid. To report a bylaw violation, please contact the District Office or complete a Comments and Complaints Form.

Bylaws

A Bylaw to enact the 2025 to 2029 Financial Plan for the District of Fort St. James.
A By-law to establish a reserve fund for new fire department works, extension or renewals of existing fire department works and purchase of fire department machinery and equipment.
A bylaw to establish a Reserve for the Fort St. James Fire Department.
A bylaw to provide for the establishment and operation of the District of Fort St. James Fire Department, for regulating the conduct of persons at Incidents, fire inspections, and fire permits to protect life and property.
A bylaw to regulate the use of firearms in the municipality.
