Seniors Helping Seniors

About SHS

In 2013, the District of Fort St. James received a grant for the medical transportation service to Vanderhoof, Prince George, Fraser lake, and Seniors Helping Seniors got its start. The program receives funding from the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako and the United Way. The program is run by seniors for seniors, although you don't need to be a senior to volunteer! Volunteers assist with driving, grocery shopping friendly phone calls and visits. There are two Dodge Caravans in the SHS fleet.

SHS is always looking for additional volunteers!

If you'd like to get involved please call the District Office for more information.
