The District of Fort St James is proposing to replace “Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 872, 2010” with the new “Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1100, 2025”, and a consequential replacement of “District of Fort St James Bylaw No. 738, 2001” with the new “Zoning Bylaw No. 1101, 2025”. Both proposed bylaws are subject to a Public Hearing, and the District will hold the joint Public Hearing on March 24, 2026.

Written comments received by the Corporate Officer by 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026 will be provided to Council for consideration during the public hearing. Comments may also be submitted in person at the public hearing, until the public hearing is closed.

Copies of the proposed Bylaws will be available at the District Office located at 477 Stuart Drive West, Fort St. James, B.C. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and on the District’s website www.fortstjames.ca/government/mayor-council/meetings-agendas-minutes beginning Thursday, March 12, 2026.
