The Fort’s flagship park, Cottonwood Park is on the lakeshore, with easy access from downtown. It’s the home of many of the area’s special events, including Canada Day and the Caledonia Classic Dog Sled Race.
Amenities at Cottonwood Park include: Sandy beach, washrooms and change rooms, band stand, covered picnic area, playground. For visitors to town there is a small campground, an RV sani-station and an information kiosk. There is also a replica Junkers bush plane and a restored steam shovel on display.
