Fort Forum Arena Revitalization Reach Substantial Completion

Fort St. James, BC - March 5, 2026 - The District of Fort St. James is pleased to announce that the Fort Forum Arena Revitalization Project has reached substantial completion, marking a major milestone for the Fort Forum. A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for March 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., welcoming residents back into a modernized, safer, and more energy-efficient arena.

The revitalization project was made possible through $2,999,400 in funding from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – Rural and Northern Communities (ICIP-RNC), a joint initiative between the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.

This project has seen the complete renovation of the Fort Forum Arena’s foyer from the ground up and will extend the Forum’s life to continue to meet the needs of both residents and regional users as a vital community hub supporting recreation, sports, and social connections.
