The District is collaborating with Nak'azdli Whut'en, Nak'azdli Development Corporation, and Work BC on a Labour Market Study with funding through Northern Development Initiative Trust's Rural and Remote Employment Initiatives Fund. The Labour Market Study will provide a deeper understanding of our workforce and current labour market conditions as well as future opportunities and training needs.
The Labour Market Study will also inform the District's new Economic Development Strategy that will guide local development over the next 3-5 years. The Strategy will outline a strategic direction for the community and provide goals with specific action items to ensure we stay on track. Everything from recreation to business attraction is included in economic development, so everyone's perspective is valuable!

Employers and business owners/managers are welcome to fill out both surveys. Paper copies of both surveys are available at the District Office, 477 Stuart Drive West. The survey is open until Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
