The District of Fort St. James is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents to construct
and install approximately 530 meters of 6 inch water main, 2 hydrants, 4 valves, multiple
tee’s, couplers and other associated parts along Resort Hill Road, starting at Stones Bay
rd./ Resort Hill intersection and continuing down road for approximately 530 meters. The
proponent will be responsible for the excavation, construction and installation of all
components within scope, as well as compaction of road base in preparation for paving.
Project must be completed between September 2026 and June 2027.
A Change Order may be added to the contract, dependant on residents application, to install
up to 10 residential ¾ inch water service lines.
Proponents are advised that there is an outstanding property matter affecting this Request
for Proposals. The District intends to proceed with the procurement process while this
matter is being resolved. The District will not award a Contract until this matter has been
adequately resolved, and therefore may not award a Contract for these works.
