The Fort’s flagship park, Cottonwood Park is on the lakeshore, with easy access from downtown. It’s the home of many of the area’s special events.
Amenities at Cottonwood Park include: Sandy beach, washrooms and change rooms, band stand, covered picnic area, playground. For visitors to town there is a small campground, an RV sani-station and an information kiosk. There is also a replica Junkers bush plane and a restored steam shovel on display.
